Destination Wedding in Malta by Fresh In Love
Captured beautifully by Melissa of Fresh In Love Photography, today’s wedding comes all the way from the island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea, just south of Sicily. Viva + Chike wed in what has to be one of the most exquisite chapels I have ever seen. And the backdrops in some of these images are just a photographer’s dream…
How gorgeous is Viva? I love the series below – her expressions are priceless!
Here’s the bride getting ready with her maids. LOVE her one-shoulder gown and how each bridesmaid’s dress was a different color and style.
Melissa was able to capture so much emotion in these images above! It’s easy to see how much fun this family is!
See what I mean? Just an incredible church. Doesn’t get much grander than this.
Married!
Seriously? You can’t ask for locations prettier than these! Love the architectural details – the pink and old wooden doors, blue shutters, grand balcony and pale stone walkways – a photog’s dream for sure.
Onto the reception… these two have serious personality!
And the first dance as husband and wife. Always such a special moment.
Congratulations Viva + Chike! You both look absolutely stunning and are clearly so much fun! Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your special day! A special thanks to Melissa of Fresh In Love Photography for sharing her amazing images with us. Make sure to check out the rest of this wedding (lots of fun reception shots) and more recent work on Melissa’s blog.

Wedding Ideas } Inspiration Board 001
In the midst of another big snow storm – yes, the third in three weeks – my mind keeps drifting toward warm and sunny places. In that spirit I thought it would be fun to create my first inspiration board based on a destination wedding in Mexico! Think bold bright colors, beautiful settings full of historic architecture and wonderful Spanish hospitality. Not to mention the sun, warmth and palm trees too!
Inspiration Board Credits (all images have been cropped except for the bride):

Destination Wedding { Capri, Italy }
Buongiorno! I was so excited when this wedding came across my desk all the way from Italy! Held on the beautiful island of Capri, this celebration combined traditional Italian elements with local Caprese influences. A single mandolinist played Neapolitan love songs in the church and the bride and wedding party carried only flowers native to Capri (wild rosemary, some bougainvillea & olive trees & peonia). Guests were treated to a typical Caprese dinner using local ingredients (Italian Caviar bruschetta & Limoncello wedding cake among other things) in a magnificent multi-leveled venue overlooking the blue grotto. Bellissimo.
A huge thank you to Umberto D’Aniello for sharing his beautiful photography with us today! Thank you Umberto!
