Lemon and Lavender Guest Post
Good Morning Aisle Candy readers! I’m Ashley from Lemon and Lavender and I’m here sharing some pretty spring color inspiration. I am so drawn to punchy pink, pastel yellow, and lavender this time of year. The lovely tablescape and floral arrangement served as my inspiration for this board and unbeknownst to me, Sara helped coordinate and the design was from Maria at Dreamywhites. The tablescape featured here and photographed by KT Merry. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks so much Ashley for posting for me while I am away running in the Big Sur Marathon. Its an exciting time for me personally, but I am excited to get back to you all.
xoxo
Sara

Hello there lovely readers of Aisle Candy!! I’m Sofia and together with André we are Brancoprata, a Portuguese duo who loves to work on weddings!! You have no idea how excited I am for being guest posting here today!! When Katie ask me to do an inspirational board to share here I were super excited… to say the least!!
I immediately begin thinking about it! I envisioned a Spring wedding with a rustic inspiration… however, instead of a country setting i thought about all those city brides who would love to get married surrounded by nature but can’t! Well, with this board I hope to help bring nature and rustic galore to the city, in an old fashion but stylish kind of way!
I’m so happy with the end result, i think it screams “Springtime in the city”.
Thank you again Katie for having me today on your fabulous blog!!

I’m so excited to have Jillian from Pretty Little Weddings guest posting for me today! Jillian and I started our blogs at about the same time and have developed a wonderful friendship ever since. She’ll be sharing some great advice to help you select the perfect wedding colors for your special day. Take it away Jillian…

Wedding colors are a complicated thing. They can set the tone for your entire affair, and hues have the ability to unify all your wedding’s details. So from one bride who struggled to choose her colors to another, I’d like to offer a few tips to help you pick the perfect palette.
1. Use your site or season as a guide. I knew from the start that I wanted to incorporate my venue’s wrought-iron detailing into our day and so, I added black to our palette. Weddings by the sea beg for blue, while winter fetes feel odd without white. Use what your venue or season offers to your advantage instead of fighting it.
2. Use inspirations boards to help you find your hues—but don’t let them stop you, either. I fell in love with the idea of our colors long before I ever looked at a black and white inspiration board—reversed, I might have chucked my chosen colors. Inspiration boards are a wonderful way to see how others envision your hues, but don’t let their vision narrow your own.
3. Look to your love story for inspiration. My fiancé and I met as teenagers at a karate class. When I let our love story guide our wedding colors, our choice of black and white became quite obvious. Does your love story have a colored thread you can pull?
4. Online paint swatches can be your best friend. Websites of paint companies like Benjamin Moore, Behr and Sherwin-Williams are pigment playgrounds, and invaluable resources when selecting the shade of any given color. Pink means many things to many people—but send your coordinator a link to Benjamin Moore’s Smashing Pink shade and she’ll know you’re searching for a pale bubblegum hue.
Do you have other suggestions or tips? We’d love for you to leave them here.

We are so excited to be on Aisle Candy today! We absolutely love this blog, so it’s an honor to be guest posting! We wanted to share with you all this super sweet engagement session photographed by the uber talented Simply Rosie. Rosie is a dear friend of ours that photographed Aileen’s wedding last summer, so we are always happy when we get to showcase her work. Eric and Nicole’s engagement session was held at the Western Canada Aviation Museum – Eric loves airplanes so it was only fitting! They added vintage touches with their attire and suitcases.
