I am beyond thrilled to introduce you to the incredibly talented Katie of PaperFashion!
Katie will be a new contributor on Aisle Candy and I couldn’t be happier to bring her on board! We’re still working out the details but our plan is to have Katie sketch a wedding dress (hopefully each week) based on inspiration boards I’ll create. The BHLDN dress illustrated above is a little sneak peek at what’s to come on AC tomorrow (check in at 11am – it’s gonna be BIG)!
Katie’s work it just to die for. She can sketch anything and everything from wedding gowns and dresses to shoes, accessories and even portraits. A visit to her blog is an ABSOLUTE MUST to lay your eyes on each and every piece of her gorgeous work!! I highly suggest a visit asap.
Yay! It’s Friday. This calls for a bit of eye candy yeh? I’ve fallen hard for BatCakes – an Etsy shop that churns out some seriously fab hair accessories. You’ll have nothing but love for their handmade haute couture vintage-style birdcage veils, pretty ostrich feather clips, and super shear fabric flower fascinators. One visit to this shop – and you’ll be smitten too.
Happy weekend lovelies!
Happy Monday! Today I’m excited to introduce you to a fabulous little Etsy shop that I’ve fallen hard for. If you are a bride searching for any type of hair accessory you’re gonna love it too. The Headband Shoppe specializes in beautiful vintage inspired handmade feather headbands, clips and fabric flower accessories. Based out of a small town in Arizona, all of their pieces are carefully crafted by hand, feather by feather. They use high quality materials and all feathers come from cruelty free sources. So important – I love that.
I swear this little shop has every color and type of hair piece you could want – over 150 to be exact. And if by chance you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, fret not, The Headband Shoppe will work with you to create a custom piece for your wedding day. They even have boutonnieres and custom flower sashes for your dress. Just be careful – it would be easy to spend the later portion of your afternoon window shopping. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend while catching up on a few of my favorite blogs I found a great new resource on Creature Comforts that I just couldn’t wait to share with you. It’s called Wedzu – an new online marketplace dedicated to indie and handmade wedding design. After reading the article I spent some time perusing the site which is full of hand crafted goods made by some pretty talented people. It’s run by Anne and Brett, two artists from Austin who are getting married in November. Love that.
Wedzu just launched so make sure to check back often as they are continuing to add new artists to their roster. I suggest you stop what you are doing and head over there now. Yup, really… it’s good.
