Greetings sweet readers!

What is it about the new year? Beginnings are always so sweet and hopeful – whether the beginning of a marriage or a New Year, I feel inspired!

This is a particularly exciting new year for me with one very big beginning: sharing my passion for weddings on Aisle Candy! I’m Sara and I can’t wait to share my beautiful finds, ideas, tips and of course lots of inspiration for the most special party you will ever plan!

I am so excited to get to know you all and help plan your big day along the way. I would love to hear from you so please feel free to leave me a comment anytime.

Here are some little known facts about me…

I met my husband while working on a dude ranch. We dated for 9 months and he proposed on April fools day, no joke.  This year we celebrate our 10th anniversary! We have 2 amazing daughters that have transformed our lives and marriage in ways I could never have imagined; I’m truly grateful. I think nail polish is the finishing touch for any outfit, I am currently wearing Essie’s “power clutch”. I am training for a marathon – well an “almost marathon” – its 21 miles. I burn French bread so often, we affectionately call it “Sara bread”. I am a little mad at Oprah (not too mad because she is Oprah, after all) for listing Lululemon as one of her favorite things this year, now they are sold out of the stuff I like! I have had a lifelong love affair with horses. I broke my nose twice in High school. I have heard every Polish joke; every, single, one.  Your wedding is the best party you will ever plan and it should be the most FUN too. I will do my best to remind you of this everyday. I LOVE weddings, everything about them.

Hello sweet readers, and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! It’s been a while, no? Well… I have some bittersweet, yet wonderful news to share. 2012 will mark the beginning of a brand new and very exciting chapter for Aisle Candy. As many of you know, this past fall I made the difficult decision to put AC up for sale. After receiving many inquiries, I’ve found someone who I believe could quite possibly be the perfect person to take over the site.

I’d like to introduce you to Sara Roeder! She is the new owner and editor of Aisle Candy and will begin her tenure on January 10th – her anniversary!

I am confident that Sara has the creativity, knowledge and most importantly, the passion necessary to take Aisle Candy to places I never thought possible. I can’t wait to watch the site continue to grow and expand under Sara’s guidance and direction.

I am thrilled to have found someone I trust whole-heartedly to take over what I’ve worked so hard to build. With that said, the sale is of course a little bittersweet. I am going to miss you all so much. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your readership and most importantly for your love and support throughout my time at Aisle Candy. From my very first post, the support I’ve received from readers, bloggers and vendors alike has been nothing short of amazing. I know you will continue to read and support AC, now under Sara’s watchful eyes, as you have so faithfully in the past.

I have nothing but sweet love for all of you, and I truly hope our paths will cross again.

Hello sweet readers! Yes, I am alive! I’m sure many of you have been wondering where I’ve been and why there haven’t been any new posts for almost two months now. I have missed all of you dearly and am sorry if I have disappointed you with the lack of content recently.

The truth is, I’ve gone through some big life changes in the last few months that have caused me to reevaluate my passion and commitment for Aisle Candy and weddings in general. To be honest, my heart isn’t fully in this anymore and I don’t feel it’s fair to continue without giving each of you 100% of my efforts.

At this time, I have decided to focus my energy on other interests and areas of my life. That being said, it would be upsetting for all of my hard work getting AC up and running to go to waste. So, I’ve made the very difficult decision to put Aisle Candy (my baby) up for sale.

A TON of blood, sweat and tears went into creating and maintaining this blog and it’s important that I hand it off to someone who will continue to uphold it’s quality and integrity. There is SO much potential for Aisle Candy and someone with a serious passion for the wedding industry and blogging in general could grow and expand the site in ways I never thought possible.

Any interested parties should email me through the contact page of the site. I will be sure to keep all of you updated on the status of AC and will most certainly be posting at least one more time to say goodbye should I find a suitable buyer. Stay tuned and enjoy the beginning of Fall!

So you may have noticed I’ve been a bit slow with my posts lately. Life just gets crazy sometimes doesn’t it? I’ve been swamped with a big move and another trip to NYC (which I’ll be posting about very soon!) and didn’t have quite enough time to finish my feature for today.
