Bright Beach Wedding by Anne Liles
Greetings sweet readers,
This wedding is nothing short of wonderful. Everything from the flowers to the shoes are such sweet pops of color and happy. Mix all that together with beautiful white sand beach, a lighthouse, Vera Wang, fun ties, an adorable flower girl and sprinkle all that with Kate Spade and you have yourself a wedding that family and friends will be talking about for years. Anne Liles captured it all beautifully don’t you think?
From the Bride:
“My favorite flower is the Gerbera and Brooks’ favorite is the tulip. Ranunculus are beautiful, happy flowers so, I decided to include them. The effect that I wanted was classic and cheerful and Lyn did a beautiful job of capturing that with the collections of smaller modern arrangements. My favorite colors are orange and brown (my dad’s was also orange) and had the wedding been in the fall, I may have just used those two colors. I added the bright pinks ( my shoes too!) and yellows to make everything look more spring like. The tan suits for the guys and beautiful tan linens at the Club were a great neutral backdrop that really made the flowers stand out. Early on in the planning, I decided that I would just hope for everything to coordinate by using the bright colors always in contrast to the neutrals, rather than worry about always using the same shade and hue of whichever color. I really liked the effect and felt that it was more cheerful and playful to have lots of colors. When Brooks proposed, he gave me a gift that was wrapped in layers of maps from different places we visited together so I decided to make the maps to use as wrapping paper for our favors as gifts to our guests. It was fun to make them all different and carry the theme through to the table naming with the Escort cards and Table Names. The day came together just as I had planned- perfectly!”
