Monthly Archives: December 2010
Hello my amazing readers! I just wanted to take a minute and tell each of you how thankful I am for your support, your comments and most of all your loyal readership. Without you Aisle Candy would not be growing by leaps and bounds since launching only two short months ago!
With that being said and after much internal debate, I’ve decided to take some time off for the holidays. Aisle Candy has been my second full-time job since April when I started dreaming up the site, so I’ll be stepping away from the computer to spend time with family and friends for the remainder of 2010. Although that means no new posts until next year, we’ve already featured some incredible weddings and vendors so please make sure to check out our archives for your daily dose of wedding sweetness while I’m away. I hope you all have a fantastic holiday and I’ll see you back here on January 4, 2011 for what I know is going to be the start of an incredible year for Aisle Candy!!
I found these super sweet posters on Ruffled about a month ago and they were just too pretty not to share here too! Alexander & Co. offers a huge selection of these gems which would serve as the perfect wedding keepsake for any design savvy bride and groom. They’ve got tons of cities and locations to chose from… but I’m especially fond of the ones below:
Make sure to check out Alexander & Co.’s 2010 catalog to view the entire collection.
Most of you are already familiar with Sarah Seven yes? Well for those of you who haven’t had the pleasure, let me introduce you to this fabulous Portland, Oregon designer. With a love for romance and femininity Sarah creates unique pieces that are vintage inspired with a modern twist. Her signature style includes delicate fabrics, flowing layers and dainty ruffles. Here’s a sneak peek at her Spring 2011 Bridal and Special Occasion collections:
Either one of the shorter dresses up top would serve as a perfect second dress for your reception. Still super girly but much more comfortable for a long night of dancing and celebration. And I’m especially fond of the gown with the robin’s egg flower sash. Perhaps the perfect way to incorporate that ‘something blue’ into your wedding attire no?
Looking to outfit your bridesmaids? Sarah’s Special Occasion line may have just the dresses. I love these unique color choices and super pretty silhouettes.
Now… what’s even more smashing about Sarah Seven you ask? Five percent of all sales are donated to charitable causes close to the designer’s heart. Look amazing and give back at the same time – sweetness.
With the temperature dropping fast and furious here in Boston I thought it would be fitting to post this super cute winter love shoot. Photographed by the always amazing Jessica Johnston in Ann Arbor, Michigan this shoot provides tons of sweet inspiration for those of you searching for some fun winter e-sesh ideas.
I love the mix of locations Jessica scouted out for this shoot. From urban streets to soft snowy landscapes this session is perfect for the city couple ready for some serious winter fun!
How adorable is their vintage sled?
So today I’m just a little (OK I mean really, really) excited. Actually, make that thrilled – to introduce you to Aisle Candy’s very first advertiser – the fabulous husband and wife duo known as Paige + Blake Green Photography. Yay! Here’s a glimpse of one of my favorite weddings shot by these lovely photogs:
From Paige + Blake:
We know the beauty and significance your wedding day holds for you and your fiance. We value and honor that beauty; It’s what we strive to capture. We adore photographing families and couples, because we truly love each other – and love can clearly see love.”
I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to both of you two and couldn’t be happier about adding Paige + Blake Green Photography to the Aisle Candy family! SO glad you’re here!
