Ode To Claire + Trunk Show
Greetings sweet readers,
Continuing with this week’s theme (because I’m obsessed and you should be too): lacy gorgeousness. I wanted to take a moment and show you some eye candy courtesy of Claire Pettibone. I love how her designs have a vintage feel but there is always something unexpected in the form of a pop of color, intricate sleeve, ribbons, and always jaw dropping back detail!
You have the chance to try on these amazing gowns and meet the designer at the Flagship store. Clear. Your. Calenders!
Claire Pettibone’s whole collection can be seen here. Information on how to RSVP to the trunk show here. The amazing photos were taken by Elizabeth Messina, check out her blog or website for some breathtaking images.

Bridal Session by EE Photography
Greetings sweet readers,
I often think about having a wedding “do over”. No, not in the sense that I would marry someone else. I want to be able to marry my cowboy again AND design the wedding around who we are now… Plus, I want to wear an amazing dress like Allison here. Erin Woolsey of EE Photography took these amazing bridal shots at Vintage Villas Hotel & Events in Austin Texas. Allison’s dress is so lovely, I just love the lace. Lace is one of my obsessions, but if you follow me on Pinterest then you already know that. Allison is a seriously good model too!
Thank you Erin for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. Allison congratulations, and you look amazing!

Washington Beauty by Dana Pleasant
Greetings sweet readers,
Oy Vey! do I have a treat for you today! Brittany and Sean’s wedding, captured perfectly by Dana Pleasant, is just so sweet I cant stand it. Between the amazing barn, antique car, blue birds, gorgeous Tazer Family Farm, and DIY galore… all done by the beautiful bride!
A sweet mother daughter moment;
“By the time Sean and I got married we had been together for 11 years, literally the girl and boy next door since we were 6. My mom found this charming farm called Tazer Valley which was inspiration in itself, loving the rustic and vintage allure of the grounds. We wanted to keep things soft, with little bursts of color. My maids and I went down to the Pike Place Market and had a fantastic day picking out flowers from various venders for our bouquets. With the corals and peaches of the dahlias, the bridesmaid dresses really seemed to pop.
Sean and I love to work in the garden, so we made custom labels with planting directions for the surprise bulbs that lay inside little stamped paper bags with bows. I wanted everything to reflect what we love and who we are as a couple. We constructed manzanita branches in galvanized buckets with dangly heart crystals and moss covered bases which our friends and families loved taking home with them. With the help from several talented artists on Etsy, each added detail was handmade, custom and very special to us.
It was truly a magical day and we had so much fun. A special thanks to our photographer, Dana Pleasant, who took absolutely breathtaking photos and captured our day flawlessly. Plus she is a blast to work with!!”
Congratulations and thanks for sharing your day with us Brittany and Sean!
xoxo

Indianapolis Wedding by Mindy Hiatt
Greetings sweet readers,
A Thanksgiving wedding doesn’t have to scream orange, rust and turkeys. Don’t get me wrong I am a huge fan of orange and rust, and turkeys for that matter. However sometimes the unexpected is welcome. Such is the case with this amazingly lovely wedding with its purple, pops of yellow and soft grey. This wedding was captured in Indianapolis by the uber talented Mindy Hiatt Photography. Julie and Ryan make the sweetest couple don’t you think?
From Mindy Hiatt Photography:
“What’s sweeter than pecan pie? Marrying the love of your life surrounded by friends, family, and Thanksgiving joy. Julie and Ryan were married Thanksgiving weekend at Our Lady Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and celebrated afterwards at the fabulous Marriot downtown Indianapolis. Julie, the fourth generation in her family to be married in Hamilton County, wore a beautiful, lace wedding dress and carried flowers inspired by the United Kingdom’s newest princess, Kate Middleton. Before heading to the reception, we stopped on Julie’s front porch to capture a few moments of happiness in photos. We also snapped a few shots in front of the Morton Monument on the east side of the Indiana Statehouse. Ryan and Julie met while they were studying at Purdue at no other than an Ugly Sweater Party; a hilarious affair where attendees wear the most fantastic, outrageous, usually holiday-themed sweater they can find. It only makes sense that the couples’ special day also happened to fall on the traditional Oaken Bucket Game—and their alma mater took home the prize that day over rival IU! Encircled with friends from high school, college, and all parts of their life, Julie and Ryan Morton begun their life together.”
Congratulations Julie and Ryan, thank you for sharing your day with us!
